Midnight August, 1982 - August 7, 2000
On August 7th, 2000 I had to put Midnight to sleep. She is now a resident of Rainbow's Bridge. She was my first cat so this
was a very hard decision for me to make. She was always the best kitty anyone could ask for, never jumped on the
counters or curtains. She was abused when I got her, maybe that's why she mostly was a one person cat at first. She later
spent more time with my dad, which was ok cause he needed Midnight's love as much as me. She never knew how to climb trees
and sometimes was afraid of birds flying by. I know she is at peace now and no more suffering. Midnight I will
always love and miss you. Your free now from any pain. You have your wings now, so fly on my Angel Midnight, till we meet
again at the Bridge.

Midnight, 18 years old, was an abused kitty when I first got her. Someone had thrown her into a fire. I had her since she
was about 6 months old. She was the best kitty anyone could ever have. She never jumped on or scratched anything. She had
the most beautiful shiny black fur I'd ever seen. Midnight is now at Rainbow's Bridge with her brother Skippy (who has now
joined her)waiting for me to join them. Now Bailey has another brother, Chief. Midnight never did get to see her little
sister, and I think Skippy sent us Chief. Midnight & Skippy I miss you two very much, remember we will all
meet again someday. I will always love & miss you.

A PARTING PRAYER Dear Lord, please open up your gates and call St. Francis to come escort this beloved companion
across the Rainbow Bridge. Assign her to a place of honor, for she has been a faithful servant and has
always done her best to please me. Bless the hands that send her to you, for they are doing so in love and compassion,
freeing her from pain and suffering. Grant me the strength not to dwell on my loss. Help me remember the details
of her life with the love she has shown me. And grant me the courage to honor her by sharing those memories with
others. Let her remember me as well and let her know that I will always love her. And when it's my time to pass
over into your paradise, please allow her to accompany those who will bring me home. Thank you, Lord, for
the gift of her companionship and for the time we've had together. And thank you, Lord for granting me the strength
to give her to you now. Amen. Brandy Duckworth

BEYOND THE RAINBOW As much as I loved the life we had and all the times we played, I was so very tired and
knew my time on earth would fade. I saw a wondrous image then of a place that's trouble-free Where all of us can meet
again to spend eternity. I saw the most beautiful Rainbow, and on the other side Were meadows rich and beautiful -
lush and green and wide! And running through the meadows as far as the eye could see Were animals of every sort as
healthy as could be! My own tired failing body was fresh and healed and new And I wanted to go run with them, but
I had something left to do. I needed to reach out to you, to tell you I'm alright That this place is truly wonderful,
then a bright Glow pierced the night. 'Twas the Glow of many Candles shining bright and strong and bold And I knew
then that it held your love in its brilliant shades of gold. For although we may not be together in the way we used to
be, We are still connected by a cord no eye can see. So whenever you need to find me, we're never far apart If
you look beyond the rainbow and listen to your heart

The Last Farewell Come with me my gentle love And let me hold you near I'll sooth
you with my softest words And never mind the tears. I'll whisper words of love to you So you will always
know How much my heart is breaking now As I gently let you go. We've traveled years and miles , we two
You've been my constant friend And now the kindest gift I give Brings us to this end. Your legs
grew weak, your eyes grew tired I watched time take its toll. In my heart you're still the kitten I held so
long ago. I cannot watch you suffer now, My love is much too deep. So close your eyes my little love,
I'll hold you as you sleep. I'll stroke your soft, soft, silken fur And gently ease the pain And
pray to all the gods I know That we will meet again. I knew this day would come my love I knew it from
the start. I did not know the price would be A large piece of my heart. I'll grieve for you because I
must I'll shed hot, heavy tears But the sorrow of this day won't dim The love we shared for years. Constance

--A Cat's Little Prayer Now I lay me down to sleep, I pray this cushy life to keep.
I pray for toys that look like mice, And sofa cushions, soft and nice. I pray for gourmet
kitty snacks, And someone nice to scratch my back, For windowsills all warm and bright, For shadows
to explore at night. I pray I'll always stay real cool And keep the secret feline rule To
NEVER tell a human that The world is really ruled by CATS! - Author Unknown
UNTITLED My spirit look not where I was for I am not there My spirit is free I am everywhere
In the air that you breathe in the sounds that you hear Don't cry for me mom My spirit is near I'll
watch for you from the other side I'll be the one running new friends by my side Smile at my memory remember
in your heart This isn't the end it's a brand new start Unknown
